Short Note: HPCL (Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited) has invited an online application for recruitment of eligible Indian candidates for the post of Engineer.


Interested candidates are advice to read complete Official Notification published by HPCL before applying online to ensure that they fulfill all eligibility criteria of recruitment.

  • Online application begin: 03-03-2021
  • Online application last date: 15-04-2021


Application fee

  • Candidates belonging to General/OBC and EWS category required to pay a Non-Refundable amount of  Rs. 1180/- 
  • SC, ST & PwBD candidates are exempted from payment of application fee. 


You can pay the Examination fee through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net-Banking or through other method.


Age Limits

  • Minimum age: 18 Years
  • Maximum age: 25 Years
  • Age Relaxation is admissible as per extra rules of recruitment as below-
  • For SC/ST Candidates maximum age limit relaxation is: 5 Years
  • For OBC Candidates maximum age limit relaxation is: 10 Years
  • 10 years for PwBD (UR), 13 years for PwBD (OBCNC) and 15 years for PwBD (SC/ST) candidates.


Educational Qualification

A Candidate must have a 4 year full time regular engineering degree with minimum 60% marks form AICTE approved / UGC recognized University/Deemed University

Selection Procedure

  • The selection process comprise of various parts like Computer Based test, Group Task, Personal Interview etc.  
  • All the candidates claiming to fulfill all the eligibility criteria will be called for Computer Based Test.
  • Computer Based Test will be of objective questions with no negative marking and will comprise of 2 parts.
  1. General Aptitude consisting of English Language, Quantitative Aptitude Test & Intellectual Potential test. 
  2. Technical / Professional Knowledge comprising of questions related to Qualifying degree / Educational background required for the applied position.
  • Candidates qualifying in the Computer Based Test in order of merit & predetermined ratio will be advised to upload the supporting documents.
  • Basis scrutiny of the application, uploaded documents and category-wise and discipline-wise merit list in Computer Based Test, eligible candidates will be called for Group Task & Personal Interview.
  • Candidates must secure minimum qualifying marks in each of the stages i.e. Computer Based Test, Group Task and Personal Interview to be considered for further selection process. 
  • A category & discipline-wise merit list will be drawn for all the candidates who qualify in all the stages. Computer Based Test + Group Task + Personal Interviews & offer of appointment would be as per the category & discipline-wise vacancies available

50000 - 160000/- Rs.
